Harrison Ford says Indiana Jones 5 will resolve a part of Indy’s history

February 17, 2020 by Liam Waddington

With filming set to begin in a couple of months, Indiana Jones actor Harrison Ford has teased several small plot details regarding the upcoming fifth instalment, hinting that audiences will get to see a “part of his history resolved.”

During a press event for The Call of the Wild, Ford was asked how Indy’s character will be explored further in the upcoming sequel, to which he responded:

“Well, I’m not going to share the story with you because that doesn’t seem like a good idea. But we’ll see new developments in his life, his relationship. We’ll see part of his history resolved. It’s a very good script. I’m looking forward to it.”

While Ford doesn’t give much away, could his comment regarding “his relationship” hint at the possible return of Karen Allen’s Marion? Could we even see John Rhys-Davies’ Sallah return for one more outing? Or Shia LaBeouf’s Mutt Williams?

Indiana Jones 5 will see director Steven Spielberg reuniting with Harrison Ford for his fifth outing as the archaeologist and adventurer Indiana Jones. David Koepp is working on the script for the film, which is set to be released on July 10th 2021.
