Homeless Ashes director Marc Zammit lines up music drama One Thousand Flames

April 8, 2020 by Tom Beasley

British filmmaker and actor Marc Zammit is set to follow his well-reviewed debut feature Homeless Ashes with the music industry drama One Thousand Flames.

Zammit, who also played the lead role in Homeless Ashes, will focus on his work behind the camera this time around.

He has reunited with writer George Wilcox, who also penned the previous film.

Stuart Murray-Wolfe stars in One Thousand Flames as Grant – frontman of rock band Half Cut Vultures. Just as the band lands its big break, Grant is left disabled and burned after a car accident, forcing the group to leave him behind and pursue success.

Recovering in hospital, Grant meets Mia (Mims Burton), who encourages him to reignite his musical career and continue to express himself in the wake of what has happened.

One Thousand Flames had been scheduled to begin production in March, but has been delayed in the wake of the current health crisis.

Homeless Ashes premiered last year at the Raindance Film Festival before receiving a limited release in cinemas across the UK at the beginning of 2020.
