Having made what we can assume to be his final appearance as Luke Skywalker in last year’s Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Mark Hamill has shared a heartfelt letter to fans of the galaxy far, far away, thanking us for our support of the saga over its 43-year history.
The letter, which is included in the Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga 4K box set, sees Hamill reminiscing on his casting in the original film alongside Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford, the “incredibly rich and imaginative set of adventures this obscure little space movie would launch”, and expressing his deep gratitude to the Star Wars fan community.
