New Pokémon Snap coming to Nintendo Switch

June 18, 2020 by Andrew Newton

The classic 1999 Nintendo 64 game, Pokémon Snap, is finally getting a long awaited remake for the Nintendo Switch as Nintendo reveal New Pokémon Snap.  This classic saw adventurers travel to a Pokémon rich island where they were tasked with catching these wonderful creatures on film rather than in a Pokeball.

As with the original game, New Pokémon Snap will see players travel to beautiful, scenic islands of lush forests and sun-kissed beaches where they will seek out wonderful Pokémon and snap them with their cameras to build up their very own Pokémon Photodex.

There’s a wide variety of wild Pokémon to be snapped in their natural habitats and will exhibit previously unseen behaviours that players can catch on film.

New Pokémon Snap will feature:

  • See a different side of Pokémon in a new photo-snapping adventure, only on Nintendo Switch.
  • Research various Pokémon in their natural habitats and capture Pokémon behaviors that you’ve never seen before.
  • Explore unknown islands with scenery like lush jungles and tropical beaches throughout your journey.
  • Take in-game photos to make your very own Pokémon Photodex.

New Pokémon Snap is an all-new adventure inspired by the classic Nintendo 64 game!  Grab your camera and get ready to photograph Pokémon while exploring beautiful islands on Nintendo Switch!

Nintendo have yet to provide a release date for this upcoming remake.
