UPDATE: Sarah Shahi to play Isis in Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam

October 15, 2020 by Gary Collinson

UPDATE: The Wrap is reporting that Sarah Shahi has now closed her deal to join Black Adam in the role of Adrianna Tomaz. Original story follows…

As the cast of Dwayne Johnson’s long-awaited DC movie Black Adam continues to come together, The Illuminerdi is reporting that Sarah Shahi (Reverie, The Rookie) could be about to become the latest addition to the film.

According to the site, Shahi is said to have been offered the role of Adrianna Tomaz, a.k.a. Isis, the love interest of Johnson’s Prince Teth-Adam, and his future wife and fellow member of the ‘Black Marvel Family’ (the Black Adam counterpart to Shazam’s Marvel Family).

The Illuminerdi’s report claims that Isis will play a major role in Black Adam, and the producers have been looking for “an actress with the chops to play a mother, a hero, and partner to a brutal antihero.”

At this point, it’s unclear whether Shahi has accepted the role, but if she does sign on she will join a cast that also includes Johnson as Black Adam, Noah Centineo (To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before) as Atom Smasher and Aldis Hodge (The Invisible Man) as Hawkman.
