Sharkboy and Lavagirl are all grown up in new images from Robert Rodriguez’s We Can Be Heroes

Earlier this week we got our first look at director Robert Rodriguez’s superhero action sci-fi We Can Be Heroes, the standalone sequel to 2005’s The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3D, and now three more images have been released which give us our first peek at a now grown-up Sharkboy (JJ Dashnaw, replacing Taylor Lautner) and Lavagirl (the returning Taylor Dooley) along with their young daughter Guppy (Vivien Blair); check them out here…

When alien invaders kidnap Earth’s superheroes, their children must team up and learn to work together if they want to save their parents and the world.

We Can Be Heroes features a cast that includes YaYa Gosselin, Pedro Pascal, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Christian Slater, Boyd Holbrook, Christopher McDonald, Adriana Barraza, Vivien Blair, Isaiah Russell-Bailey, Akira Akbar, Lyon Daniels, Nathan Blair, Lotus Blossom, Hala Finley, Andy Walken, Dylan Henry Lau, Andrew Diaz, Taylor Dooley, Sung Kang, Haley Reinhart, J. Quinton Johnson, and JJ Dashnaw.
