Why the LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special Doesn’t Work | Video Review

November 16, 2020 by EJ Moreno

EJ Moreno reviews the LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special…

Another generation of Star Wars fans have a bad Holiday Special to enjoy, as our host EJ Moreno dives into the new LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special. From the forced nostalgia to the lackluster voice acting, this doesn’t seem to work on any level. But there’s a campy element in this that still makes it viewable to fans of Star Wars and all its wacky characters.

The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special will bring together characters from the Prequel, Original, and Sequel Trilogy eras, and features the voice talents of Star Wars alum Kelly Marie Tran (Rose Tico), Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian), and Anthony Daniels (C-3PO) along with Star Wars: The Clone Wars veterans Matt Lanter (Anakin Skywalker), Tom Kane (Yoda, Qui-Gon Jinn), James Arnold Taylor (Obi-Wan Kenobi) and Dee Bradley Baker (Clone Troopers).

The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special will premiere on Disney+ on November 17th, 2020.
