Nintendo DS classic Monster Tale coming to modern platforms

January 12, 2021 by Gary Collinson

Majesco Entertainment has announced that the Nintendo DS classic Monster Tale is coming to “modern game platforms” this year.

Developed by Dreamrift and originally released on the DS in 2011, Monster Tale follows Ellie and Chomp, a human-monster duo who seek to rid the fantastic Monster World of the evil ragtag group the Kid-Kings and help Ellie return home.

Blending classic gameplay styles of puzzle-platformers, Metroidvania, and pet management, Monster Tale allows players to explore its world as Ellie, while unlocking new abilities and helping to train and evolve her monster companion Chomp.

As yet, there’s no word exactly when Monster Tale will be released, nor which consoles “modern game platforms” constitutes.
