Coming hot on the heels of the news that British filmmaker Edgar Wright is set to direct a new adaptation of The Running Man, we have more Stephen King-related news this evening as Apple TV+ has just shared the first teaser image for Lisey’s Story.
Based on the best-selling novel by King, with each episode scripted by the author himself who also executive produces alongside J.J. Abrams and director Pablo Larrain, Lisey’s Story “is a deeply personal thriller that follows Lisey Landon (Julianne Moore) two years after the death of her husband, famous novelist Scott Landon (Clive Owen). A series of unsettling events causes Lisey to face memories of her marriage to Scott that she has deliberately blocked out of her mind.”
Lisey’s Story features a cast that includes Julianne Moore, Clive Owen, Joan Allen, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Dane DeHaan and Ron Cephas Jones.
