Lily Rabe joins George Clooney’s The Tender Bar

February 17, 2021 by Ricky Church

As George Clooney gears up to direct his next film The Tender Bar, The Hollywood Reporter has revealed Lily Rabe (American Horror Story) is the latest to join the cast as the film’s main female lead.

Rabe joins Ben Affleck (Zack Snyder’s Justice League) and Tye Sheridan (Ready Player One) in the cast of the film, which is an adaptation of J.R. Moehringer’s memoir of the same name, following “the writer’s adolescent years growing up on Long Island in search of a father figure among the patrons at his uncle’s bar.”

Rabe will portray Moehringer’s mother while Sheridan is the young author and Affleck his uncle who owns the bar.

The Tender Bar was adapted by William Monahan (The Departed) and will be produced by Clooney and Affleck through Smokehouse Pictures. The film will be released on Amazon.
