Uncharted image offers first look at Mark Walhberg’s Sully alongside Tom Holland’s Nathan Drake

May 24, 2021 by EJ Moreno

As part of a New York Times article about Hollywood’s new crop of video game movies, fans have got their first look at Mark Wahlberg in Uncharted.

The actor will co-star in the film as Sully alongside Tom Holland as Nathan Drake, and in the image we see the pair investigating what looks like a hidden church altar. In the Uncharted video games, Nathan Drake is a famed treasure hunter, and Sully is his mentor.

Known in the games for his signature moustache, it seems like Wahlberg has skipped that for now. Since the film is set long before the games, the actor could easily grow a ‘stache if this spans into a film franchise.

Uncharted will see Tom Holland star as a young Nathan Drake, while Mark Wahlberg plays his mentor Victor “Sully” Sullivan. The film also stars Antonio Banderas, Tati Gabrielle, and Sophia Taylor A as Chloe Frazer. Zombieland and Venom director Ruben Fleischer helms the film from a script by Art Marcum & Matt Holloway (Men in Black: International) and Rafe Judkins (The Wheel of Time).
