The Flash director Andy Muschietti teases Supergirl logo and costume

June 18, 2021 by Ricky Church

Director Andy Muschietti has shared another tease for his upcoming DC film The Flash, this time giving a look at Supergirl’s logo and part of the costume which will be worn by DCEU newcomer Sasha Calle.

The logo takes some very heavy influence from Superman’s in Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Zack Snyder’s Justice League with some slight variations to the intricate design on the ‘S’. Could this possibly mean Calle’s Supergirl is tied to Henry Cavill’s Superman?

We know Ben Affleck will be appearing to reprise his DCEU role as Batman and Ezra Miller is of course returning as Barry Allen/The Flash, but those are so far the only two actors from the previous set of films to reprise their roles or display any connection to the other films before Flash’s time-spanning or multiverse-hopping adventure. We’ll have to wait and see if there is any more connection between Calle’s Supergirl and Cavill’s Superman in this new film.

The Flash will see the return of Ezra Miller as Barry Allen alongside Zack Snyder’s Justice League co-stars Ben Affleck as Batman, and Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, and Batman and Batman Returns’ Michael Keaton reprising the role of The Dark Knight. DCEU newcomers include Ron Livingston (Office Space) as Henry Allen, Maribel Verdu (Pan’s Labyrinth) as Nora Allen, and Sasha Calle (The Young and the Restless) as Supergirl.
