The Book of Eli director Albert Hughes to helm John Wick spinoff series The Continental

July 17, 2021 by Liam Waddington

According to The Hollywood Reporter, two of the three 90-minute episodes of the upcoming John Wick spinoff series The Continental will now be directed by The Book of Eli filmmaker Albert Hughes.

The outlet is reporting that Hughes will direct the first and third episodes and executive produce all three. John Wick director Chad Stahelski was originally going to direct the first episode of The Continental, however, he will now only executive produce alongside David Leitch, Keanu Reeves, and original screenwriter Derek Kolstad. There has been no confirmation as of writing this about who will be helming the second episode.
