Ryan Murphy is following up two seasons of American Crime Story with one of the most infamous incidents to date. The creator is tackling the Bill Clinton/Monica Lewinsky scandal that rocked American politics in the late 90s with Impeachment: American Crime Story.
The first trailer just dropped, and it looks to recapture the insanity of that time quite perfectly. Beanie Feldstein looks to lead the series as Monica Lewinsky with Clive Owen as President Clinton, Sarah Paulson as Linda Tripp, Edie Falco as Hillary Clinton, Annaleigh Ashford as Paula Jones, Billy Eichner as Matt Drudge, and Cobie Smulders as Ann Coulter.

Impeachment: American Crime Story examines the national crisis that led to the first impeachment of a U.S. President in over a century through the eyes of the women at the center of the events: Monica Lewinsky, Linda Tripp, and Paula Jones. All three were thrust into the public spotlight during a time of corrosive partisan rancor, shifting sexual politics, and a changing media landscape.
The series premieres on September 7th on FX.
