Kristen Stewart stuns as Princess Diana in first teaser trailer for Spencer

August 26, 2021 by EJ Moreno

Could we be adding Oscar-nominee before Kristen Stewart’s name? That seems to be the path many on Film Twitter believe after this first look at Stewart in Spencer.

The first teaser trailer for the upcoming drama is here, and it looks to be a powerful and engaging film about one of royalty’s most famous faces. Stewart stars as Diana, a woman facing one of the most challenging moments in her life.

The actress brings her to life in this brief clip, which also showcases the stunning cinematography and costumes of the film. Check out the teaser for Spencer here…

The marriage of Princess Diana and Prince Charles has long since grown cold. Though rumors of affairs and a divorce abound, peace is ordained for the Christmas festivities at the Queen’s Sandringham Estate. There’s eating and drinking, shooting and hunting. Diana knows the game. But this year, things will be profoundly different. SPENCER is an imagining of what might have happened during those few fateful days.

Spencer is directed by Pablo Larraín and written by Steven Knight. The film stars Kristen Stewart, Timothy Spall, Jack Farthing, Sean Harris, and Sally Hawkins.

The Venice Film Festival and Toronto International Film Festival will show special screenings of Spencer before it is released in theaters on November 5th.
