September 14, 2021 by Liam Waddington

Writer and director Rian Johnson has taken to Twitter to confirm that filming has wrapped on the upcoming Knives Out sequel.

We just wrapped production on the next Benoit Blanc mystery and also I finally watched Annette and holy shit it’s amazing. Sending so much love and gratitude to our INCREDIBLE crew and cast and Leos Carax!

While the plot and characters details for the Daniel Craig-led Knives Out 2 are currently being kept under wraps, we do know that the film will take Benoit Blanc to Greece for this instalment, and that it is the first of two sequels to 2019’s Knives Out that are currently in development at Netflix following a $400 million deal with the streaming service.

Knives Out 2 will star Daniel Craig, who is reprising his Knives Out role as Benoit Blanc alongside new cast additions Dave Bautista (Army of the Dead), Edward Norton (Motherless Brooklyn), Janelle Monáe (Hidden Figures), Kathryn Hahn (WandaVision), Leslie Odom Jr. (Hamilton), Kate Hudson (Almost Famous), Madelyn Cline (Outer Banks), Jessica Henwick (Iron Fist), and Ethan Hawke (First Reformed).
