Guy Ritchie spy thriller Operation Fortune set for release in January

October 3, 2021 by Gary Collinson

Previously titled Five Eyes, director Guy Ritchie’s upcoming spy film starring Jason Statham has now scored a new title – Operation Fortune: Ruse de guerre – as well as a January release date in North America courtesy of STXfilms.

Operation Fortune sees Statham playing Orson Fortune, a super spy with MI6 who finds himself recruited by a global intelligence agency and paired with a CIA agent (Aubrey Plaza) to track down and prevent the sale of a deadly new weapons technology that threatens to disrupt the world order.

Along with Statham and Aubrey Plaza, the cast of Operation Fortune includes Josh Hartnett, Cary Elwes, Bugzy Malone and Hugh Grant.

Ritchie and Statham are coming off Wrath of Man, their first collaboration since 2005’s Revolver, which released in the U.S. earlier this year and has just been announced for a Christmas release here in the UK direct to Amazon Prime Video.
