Temuera Morrison says Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett will “fill a lot of gaps”

December 6, 2021 by Gary Collinson

As we saw in the most recent promo for Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett, the upcoming series looks set to answer some of the big questions surrounding the fan-favourite bounty hunter, including – not least – his escape from the depths of the Sarlacc in Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi.

Speaking to SFX Magazine to promote the upcoming spinoff to The Mandalorian, actor Teumuera Morrison has confirmed that “There will definitely be a number of answers [in the show]. Some long-winded answers. Short short and sharp answers. Some colorful answers. We’re filling a lot of gaps.”

Along with the Sarlacc escape, we can presumably expect the show to detail how Boba’s armor ended up in the possession of Cobb Vance (Timothy Olyphant), and how and why Boba chose to save Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) after she was left for dead in The Mandalorian season one.

However, there’s plenty more we don’t know about Boba Fett, so perhaps we can expect more flashbacks, maybe even featuring some of his interactions with Jabba the Hutt or other Original Trilogy era bounty hunters? We shall see when the series gets underway later this month.

“The Book of Boba Fett,” a thrilling Star Wars adventure teased in a surprise end-credit sequence following the Season 2 finale of “The Mandalorian,” finds legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett and mercenary Fennec Shand navigating the galaxy’s underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate.

Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett features a cast that includes Temuera Morrison as Boba Fett and Ming-Na Wen as Fennec Shand. It is set to premiere on December 29th on Disney+.
