The White Lotus season 2 to take place at a Sicily resort

January 21, 2022 by Ricky Church

HBO Max’s The White Lotus is trading the sandy beaches and tropical setting of Hawaii for the Italian scenery as Variety reports that season two will film in Sicily.

According to the trade, the Four Seasons San Domenica Palace in the Sicilian resort town Taormina will stand in for The White Lotus Sicily  and will be closed to the public until production ends in April.

The social satire series “follows the vacations of various hotel guests over the span of a week as they relax and rejuvenate in paradise. But with each passing day, a darker complexity emerges in these picture-perfect travelers, the hotel’s cheerful employees and the idyllic locale itself.”

The first season of The White Lotus featured a cast that included Murray Barlett, Connie Britton, Jennifer Coolidge, Alexandra Daddario, Fred Hechinger, Jake Lacy, Brittany O’Grady, Natasha Rothwell, Sydney Sweeney, and Steve Zahn.

The second season will feature Michael Imperioli (The Sopranos), Aubrey Plaza (Happiest Season), F. Murray Abraham (Mythic Quest), Adam DiMarco (The Order), Tom Hollander (Bohemian Rhapsody) and Haley Lu Richardson (Five Feet Apart) with Jennifer Coolidge reprising her role as Tanya McQuoid.
