May 17, 2022 by Andrew Newton

Warner Bros. Games have released a new trailer for their upcoming free-to-play platform fighter MultiVersus revealing three new characters that will be joining the ever-expanding roster of characters.  A new trailer introducing Taz, The Iron Giant and Scooby Doo’s Velma to the non-stop fight can be seen below, and it’s also been announced that the MultiVersus Open Beta will be coming this July to PC and consoles.

In this upcoming free-to-play platform fighter players will team up with a choice from a vast roster of characters from many different TV series and cartoons etc.  Players can head into the fight as DC’s Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn; Shaggy from Scooby-Doo; Bugs Bunny; Tom & Jerry; Jake and Finn from Adventure Time; Steven Universe and Garnet and an original creature named Reindog, or as revealed today the Iron Giant, Taz the Tasmanian Devil and Velma from Scooby Doo. Gamers can look forward to more and more iconic characters being added over time.

There will be a variety of ways that players can enjoy the fight, including 2 vs. 2 team-based cooperative mode, 1 vs. 1 matches, 4-player free-for-all and The Lab otherwise known as practice mode.

Players will be able to fight it out with each other on different platforms thanks to full cross play support.

The Open Beta of MultiVersus will be coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Playstation 4 and 5 and PC this July.
