Sebastian Stan shares a first look at his prosthetic-covered face in A Different Man

July 28, 2022 by Matt Rodgers

Sebastian Stan continues to forge a very interesting career away from the big-budget gloss of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and that’s none more so evident than in the image he shared from his latest film A Different Man.

Posted to his Instagram account, the picture shows Stan covered in prosthetics for his role in A Different Man, in which he plays Edward, a man with neurofibromatosis who undergoes facial reconstructive surgery, only to become obsessed with an actor starring as him in a play based on his life.

Stan credited the makeup work to Mike Marino, who recently made Colin Farrell just as unrecognisable in The Batman, and also has Project Power, The Irishman, and Joker on his impressive CV.

Written and directed by Chained for Life‘s Aaron Schimberg, filming on A Different Man is currently underway in New York City. The A24 produced film also stars The Worst Person in the World’s Renate Reinsve and Under the Skin’s Adam Pearson.
