Black Adam character poster features Pierce Brosnan’s Doctor Fate

August 30, 2022 by Matt Rodgers

Having been unveiled during the San-Diego Comic-Con trailer, Dwayne Johnson has taken to Twitter to give us a better look at Pierce Brosnan’s Doctor Fate from the forthcoming DC blockbuster Black Adam. Check out the brand new character poster here…

Bond actor Brosnan will portray both Doctor Fate and Kent Nelson, the archaeologist who unearths an ancient god who trains him to become a powerful sorcerer and founding member of the Justice Society of America. Armed with his Helmet of Fate and magical capabilities, Doctor Fate is able to conjure up enough power to outmatch even that of the gods.

Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the ancient gods—and imprisoned just as quickly—Black Adam (Johnson) is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world.

Black Adam is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (Jungle Cruise) and sees Dwayne Johnson starring alongside Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, Pierce Brosnan as the aforementioned Doctor Fate, Sarah Shahi as Adrianna, Marwan Kenzari as Ishmael, Bodhi Sabongui as Amon and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller.

Black Adam is set for release on October 21st 2022.
