Marvel’s Ironheart series adds Regan Aliyah

September 1, 2022 by Ricky Church

Marvel’s upcoming Disney+ series Ironheart has added Regan Aliyah (XO, Kitty) to its cast, as per Deadline.

Ironheart will follow Dominique Thorne’s Riri Williams after her introduction in November’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Williams is a young genius inventor who creates an advanced suit of armour rivalling the late Tony Stark’s Iron Man suit.

As per usual with any Marvel project, story details and character details are being kept secret so there is no word on who Aliyah will portray.

Marvel’s Ironheart features a cast that includes Dominique Thorne (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever), Lyric Ross (This Is Us), Anthony Ramos (In the Heights), Manny Montana (Good Girls), Shea Coulée (RuPaul’s Drag Race), Zoe Terakes (Nine Perfect Strangers), Regan Aliyah (XO, Kitty), Shakira Barrera (GLOW), Rashida Olayiwola (South Side) and Alden Ehrenreich (Solo: A Star Wars Story).

Ironheart will be showrun by Chinaka Hodge (Amazing Stories, Snowpiercer), who also serves as head writer, with Sam Bailey (Brown Girls) and Angela Barnes (Mythic Quest) directing. Black Panther director Ryan Coogler will executive produce the series with Hodge and Zinzi Coogler and Sev Ohanian alongside Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, and Zoie Nagelhout.

Ironheart is coming to Disney+ in 2023.
