Operation Wolf Returns: First Mission coming to consoles and VR

September 17, 2022 by Gary Collinson

TAITO’s classic 80s arcade rail shooter Operation Wolf is making its grand return in 2023, with Microids announcing the officially licensed Operation Wolf Returns: First Mission for consoles and VR.

Developed by Virtuallyz Gaming, Operation Wolf Returns: First Mission features both solo and local co-op play as gamers take on the roles of special agents tasked with taking down a ruthless criminal cartel led by General Viper.

In addition to a campaign mode for one or two players, Operation Wolf Returns: First Mission also includes a survival mode pitting players against endless waves on enemies, along with leaderboards and more. Check out a selection of screenshots here…

Operation Wolf Returns: First Mission will be released in the Fall both digitally and physical on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 & Nintendo Switch and digitally only on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The VR version of the game will launch on Meta Quest 2 in 2023.
