Kiefer Sutherland to hunt a serial killer in The Winter Kills

February 17, 2023 by Gary Collinson

Kiefer Sutherland is set to follow up his new Paramount+ espionage series Rabbit Hole by returning to the big screen for the action-thriller The Winter Kills.

As per Deadline, the film is being directed by John Stalberg Jr. (Crypto) from a script by Ben Floro Carney, and will see Sutherland taking on the role of a disgraced cop pursuing the serial killer who murdered his partner ten years ago — and has resurfaced to kill again.

“Kiefer Sutherland is more than just the perfect actor for this film, he’s an absolute legend, and I’m beyond thrilled to match his rare talent with a role that will require every ounce of it.” said Stalberg. “I couldn’t imagine a better team of professionals, including [producers] Wyatt Russell and Oliver Hudson — my partners at Slow Burn along with Patrick Rizzotti, David Guglielmo, Paul Johanson and the crack team at XYZ to bring The Winter Kills to life.”

Sutherland was last seen in the Showtime series The First Lady, while Rabbit Hole is set to premiere on Paramount+ in March.
