To celebrate the digital release of box-office bloodbath Evil Dead Rise, Warner Bros. has dropped the opening ten-minutes for audiences to watch through their fingers from the comfort of their own homes.
Directed by Lee Cronin (The Hole in the Ground), with Sam Raimi, Bruce Cambell and Rob Tapert producing, Evil Dead Rise has so far made $115 million at the worldwide box-office. Featuring in the cast are Lily Sullivan (I Met a Girl), Alyssa Sutherland (The Mist), Morgan Davies (The End), Gabrielle Echols (Reminiscence), and Nell Fisher (Northspur). In the fifth Evil Dead film, a road-weary Beth pays an overdue visit to her older sister Ellie, who is raising three kids on her own in a cramped L.A apartment. The sisters’ reunion is cut short by the discovery of a mysterious book deep in the bowels of Ellie’s building, giving rise to flesh-possessing demons, and thrusting Beth into a primal battle for survival as she is faced with the most nightmarish version of motherhood imaginable.
