The Exorcist: Believer possesses us with first trailer

July 25, 2023 by EJ Moreno

David Gordon Green is set to deliver his scariest outing yet, and we got our first glimpse at the devil-filled madness.

Today, the first trailer for Blumhouse’s The Exorcist: Believer arrived, and it’s a delightfully twisted treat. We get a look at our new story while also revisiting iconic characters from the original outing.

The trailer came with a message from the director, as Green reveals, “The Exorcist: Believer is a throwback to early psychological horror movies that I watched as a kid and inspired me. I can’t wait for you all to watch in theaters.” Check out the trailer and poster below…

The film follows “Leslie Odom Jr., who will play the father of a possessed child. Desperate for help, he tracks down Chris MacNeil (Ellen Burstyn), who has experience with this situation.”

David Gordon Green directs The Exorcist: Believer, with a script from Green and co-writer Peter Sattler. The entire cast includes Burstyn, Odom Jr., Ann Dowd, Lidya Jewett, Olivia Marcum, Raphael Sbarge, Jennifer Nettles, and Okwui Okpokwasili. Check out the posters below…
