Renate Reinsve stars in unsettling trailer for Handling the Undead

December 7, 2023 by Matt Rodgers

Neon has released the trailer for their horror drama Handling the Undead, an adaptation of the novel from Let the Right One In writer John Ajvide Lindqvist.

Directed by Thea Hvistendahl, who co-wrote the script alongside Lindqvist, Handling the Dead depicts the events following a strange electrical occurrence in Oslo, which inexplicably awakens the recently deceased, who return to their families with unsettling consequences.

Starring The Worst Person in the World duo of Renate Reinsve and Anders Danielsen Lie, alongside Bjørn Sundquist (Wild Men) and Bente Børsum (Mors Hus),  you can check out the atmospheric trailer below…

On a hot summer day in Oslo, the newly dead awaken. Three families faced with loss try to figure out what this resurrection means and if their loved ones really are back. Based on the book by John Ajvide Lindqvist.

Handling the Undead premieres at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival.
