Warner Bros. Digital Networks’ Machinima has announced a development deal with Greg Russo, screenwriter of the upcoming video game adaptation reboots Mortal Kombat and Resident Evil, beginning with a live-action feature adaptation of the survival horror F.E.A.R..
Released in 2005, F.E.A.R. is a first person shooter which revolves around the special forces team First Encounter Assault Recon, who are called in to deal with the main antagonist, Alma Wade, a powerful psychic who is looking to extract revenge after being an unwilling participant in a series of nefarious experiments.

Machinima has plenty of experience adapting gaming IPs, with its previous projects including Mortal Kombat: Legacy, Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist, Street Fighter: Resurrection and Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn.
