Atlanta renewed for a third season by FX

June 9, 2018 by Gary Collinson

FX has announced that it has ordered a third season of Atlanta, its acclaimed comedy drama series created by and starring Donald Glover.

The Emmy-winning series sees Glover as Earn, a Princeton dropout looking to launch his cousin Paper Boi’s rap career. Brian Tyree Henry portrays Paper Boi, with Lakeith Stanfield as Darius Epps, Paper Boi’s right hand man, and Zazie Beetz as Van, Earn’s on-off girlfriend and mother of their daughter Lottie.

As yet, there’s no word on an episode count or premiere date, although FX has announced that it will air in 2019, so there’ll be no two-year gap like there was with season one and season two.
