Men Behaving Badly cast are keen on a reunion

July 8, 2018 by Gary Collinson

It’s been twenty years since the series finale of Men Behaving Badly, but according to actor Neil Morrissey, he and co-stars Martin Clunes, Caroline Quentin and Leslie Ash are keen on returning to their roles for a revival of the 90s sitcom.

“You know what they should do, get (creator) Simon Nye on this show, he’s the one,” Morrissey said when asked on ITV’s Lorraine about a possible revival. “If there’s a script – because in my game everything starts with a script – and if the script is good because Martin and I and Leslie have all said of course we’ll do it. So we need to get Simon Nye, nail him down and get him to write a series.”

Men Behaving Badly followed the lives of Gary (Clunes) and flatmate Tony (Morrissey, who replaced Harry Enfield’s Dermot Povey after the first season), as well as Gary’s long-suffering girlfriend Dorothy (Quentin) and neighbour Deborah (Ash).

The first series aired on ITV in 1992, before moving to the BBC for a further five series, a Christmas special and ‘Last Orders’ trio of specials in 1998. Clunes and Morrissey also reprised their roles for a Stand Up to Cancer charity special sketch in 2014
