Rumour: A new Critters movie has been shot in secret

Last week we got the first poster and trailer for Critters: A New Binge, a small screen sequel to the cult 80s sci-fi comedy horror franchise, which is set to premiere on streaming service Shudder this April.

Well, it seems this isn’t the only Critters project that fans have to look forward to, as Joblo is reporting that Syfy has secretly shot a Critters movie, which has apparently been directed by Bobby Miller (The Cleanse).

Details are scarce, but the site reports that Dee Wallace, who starred in the original 1986 movie, could be set to return, with Wallace recently revealing that she’d finished work on a secret project in South Africa, which – according to a Production Weekly listing – is where the new Critters film was shot.

While we await official confirmation on the Syfy movie, fans will be able to catch Critters: A New Binge on Shudder from March 21st.
