Tom Cruise is looking reunite with Edge of Tomorrow helmer Doug Liman on Luna Park, the director’s long-gestating sci-fi passion project which tells the story of a group of renegade employees who take a trip to the moon in order to steal an energy source.
The project has been in development hell for some time, and Variety is reporting that the project only move forward if the latest draft of the script impresses. However, there is time to get it right, as Cruise is set to begin filming Jack Reacher 2 in the coming months, and is also expected to go into production on Mission: Impossible 6 next year.
Cruise and Liman’s previous sci-fi Edge of Tomorrow was released last year, and pulled in over $350 million around the globe.
