Deadline is reporting that Chris Pine (Star Trek, Wonder Woman) has been cast as the lead in Violence of Action, a “non stop action thriller” from Thunder Road Films and 30WEST.
Directed by Tarik Saleh (The Nile Hilton Incident), Violence of Action will see Pine playing James Reed, who after being involuntarily discharged from the Marines ends up working for a paramilitary organisation to support his family. However, travelling to Poland as part of an elite black ops team, Reed finds himself alone and hunted in Eastern Europe, and has to fight to stay alive in order to uncover those who betrayed him.

Pine is coming off the TNT noir series I Am the Night from filmmaker Patty Jenkins, while the two also recently wrapped filming on next year’s DC sequel Wonder Woman 1984.
