Children of Men star Clive Owen has signed on to star alongside Oscar-winner Julianne Moore in the upcoming Apple TV+ adaptation of Stephen King’s Lisey’s Story, Deadline has revealed.
Based on the bestselling 2016 novel, Lisey’s Story will see Moore as Lisey, a woman who is forced to confront certain realities about her late husband (Owen) which she has repressed and forgotten.
King himself has taken on scripting duties for every episode of the limited series, and will also executive produce alongside J.J. Abrams and his Bad Robot Productions.
Owen can currently be seen in cinemas opposite Will Smith in Ang Lee’s Gemini Man. Lisey’s story will mark his first TV role since his Golden Globe-nominated turn in Cinemax’s The Knick.
