Adele to make acting debut in Xavier Dolan’s The Death and Life of John F. Donovan

November 16, 2015 by Gary Collinson

British singer Adele is set to make her acting debut in The Death and Life of John F. Donovan, which will reunite her with filmmaker Xavier Dolan, who helmed the music video for her single Hello.

Speaking to the Daily Mail last month about her work with Dolan on Hello, Adele had stated that: “I feel like a bit of cock after saying for all these years I’d never act, because I really enjoyed it.I’m sure I’ll get some flak for this, but I actually would like to act after working with Xavier. I would be in a film for him, definitely.

The Death and Life of John F. Donovan follows an American movie star who finds his correspondence with an 11-year-old actor exposed, prompting assumptions that begin to destroy his life and career. Also set to feature in the cast are Jessica Chastain, Kit Harington, Susan Sarandon and Kathy Bates.
