Kerry Washington is the latest to join Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery

May 29, 2024 by EJ Moreno

If Rian Johnson does one thing right, he packs his films with an all-star cast, and Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery seems to be no exception, as Kerry Washington is the newest member of the ever-growing cast.

Washington joins new cast members Josh O’Connor, Cailee Spaeny, and Andrew Scott. Daniel Craig, confirmed in a teaser posted on social media, is returning for a third outing as fictional legendary detective Benoit Blanc.

Little is known about the plot, as Johnson likes to keep the Knives Out production as mysterious as the films themselves. In the teaser, Daniel Craig narrates that this will be the most dangerous case he’s had yet. Prepare for bloodshed and mystery madness like never before.

Kerry Washington is a highly respected actress best known for playing Olivia Pope in the ABC drama series Scandal. She also starred in the Hulu series Little Fires Everywhere, which earned her a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or a Movie. Her film credits include Ray and Django Unchained.
