While the end of 2026 will mark Doomsday for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios is kicking off the year this month with the launch of its latest small screen offering, the eight-episode Disney+ series Wonder Man.
Created by Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Spider-Man: Brand New Day director Destin Daniel Cretton alongside showrunner Andrew Guest (Hawkeye), the series stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Aquaman) as Simon Williams, an aspiring actor looking to secure the lead in a reboot of the superhero property Wonder Man.
Featuring alongside Abdul-Mateen in the cast of the series are Ben Kingsley, Arian Moayed, X Mayo, Zlatko Burić, Olivia Thirlby, and Byron Bowers. Check out the trailer and official promo images below…
Aspiring Hollywood actor Simon Williams is struggling to get his career off the ground. During a chance meeting with Trevor Slattery, an actor whose biggest roles may be well behind him, Simon learns legendary director Von Kovak is remaking the superhero film “Wonder Man.” These two actors at opposite ends of their careers doggedly pursue life-changing roles in this film as audiences get a peek behind the curtain of the entertainment industry.
Featuring in the cast of Wonder Man are Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Ben Kingsley, Arian Moayed, X Mayo, Zlatko Burić, Olivia Thirlby, and Byron Bowers.
Wonder Man will premiere on Disney+ on January 27th 2026.
