Back in September, 20th Century Fox pushed Gambit back from its original production start date to this month, and now The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that the Channing Tatum-headlined X-Men spinoff has been delayed once again.
The site reports that rewrites have pushed the project back to the end of this year, with director Doug Liman now taking a break from the project in order to direct Amazon Studios’ first ever original movie, the psychological thriller The Wall.
Gambit has had a troubled time so far, with Fox parting ways with original director Rupert Wyatt due to creative differences, with Liman subsequently stepping in as his replacement. The movie was originally slated for release this October.
