Less than two weeks after it started rolling out around the globe, Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War has passed the $700 million mark at the worldwide box office.
By close of play yesterday, Civil War had amassed $192.5 million domestically (in just four days), along with a further $518.8 million from international markets.
The film is already the fifth biggest movie of 2016, and given its blistering start it’s probably only a matter of time before it overtakes Deadpool ($762 million), The Jungle Book ($779 million), Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice ($868 million) and Zootopia ($958 million).
