Kate Winslet is in talks with Fox 2000 about joining Idris Elba in The Mountain Between Us, a romantic drama based upon the Charles Martin’s novel, The Hollywood Reporter has revealed.
Directed by Hany Abu-Assad (Paradise Now) from a script by Chris Weitz (About a Boy), and “tells of a woman, engaged to be married, and a surgeon who charter a plane to get them home after inclement weather delays their flight. When the plane crashes in a snowy wilderness, the two must work together to survive.”
Production on The Mountain Between Us is set to get underway in December ahead of a release in 2017.
