Alexandra Daddario and Taissa Farmiga join Sebastian Stan in We Have Always Lived in the Castle

August 11, 2016 by Gary Collinson

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Alexandra Daddario (San Andreas) and Taissa Farmiga (American Horror Story) have signed on to appear alongside Sebastian Stan (Captain America: Civil War) in the upcoming adaptation of Shirley Jackson’s 1962 thriller novel We Have Always Lived in the Castle.

The film tells the story of “an isolated family, which has already lost four members to poisoning, that uses rituals and talismans to keep itself away from hostile townspeople. Into this scenario arrives a distant cousin, intent on maliciously securing the family’s fortune and whose arrival sets in motion the uncovering of family secrets. Daddario and Farmiga are playing agoraphobic sisters who become divided by the cousin’s arrival.”

We Have Always Lived in the Castle is being directed by Stacie Passon (Concussion), from a script co-written with Mark Kruger (Teen Wolf). It is expected to arrive some time in 2017.
