Thomas Jane and Molly Parker to star in Stephen King adaptation 1922

November 3, 2016 by Gary Collinson

THR is reporting that Thomas Jane (The Mist) and Molly Parker (House of Cards) have signed on to lead the cast of the Stephen King adaptation 1922, which is being written and directed by Zak Hilditch (These Final Hours) for Netflix.

Published as part of King’s 2010 collection Full Dark, No Stars, 1922 follows an unrealiable narrator, Wilfred James (Jane), “who admits to killing his wife, Arlette (Parker), with his son in Nebraska. But after he buries her body, he finds himself terrorized by rats and, as his life begins to unravel, becomes convinced his wife is haunting him.”

Also featuring in the cast are Dylan Schmid (Horns), Kaitlyn Bernard (The Healer), Brian D’Arcy James (Spotlight) and Neal McDonough (Arrow).

1922 is the second Stephen King project announced by Netflix, with the Mike Flanagan (Ouija: Origin of Evil) adapting Gerald’s Game, starring Carla Gugino (Wayward Pines) and Bruce Greenwood (Star Trek).
