Seth Rogen and The Lonely Island developing Fyre Festival-like comedy

May 1, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Hot on the heels of the news of Ja Rule’s shambolic Fyre Festival – which drew comparisons to The Hunger Games and The Lord of the Flies after going completely tits up – Seth Rogen and comedy group The Lonely Island have announced that they are developing a comedy feature about a festival that descends into chaos.

“This seems like a good time to mention the movie we are making with The Lonely Island is about a music festival that goes HORRIBLY WRONG,” tweeted Rogen, with The Lonely Island adding that: “For real, thinking about suing #FyreFestival for stealing our idea.”

Rogen has previously collaborated with The Lonely Island – a.k.a. Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone – on comedies The Watch and Neighbors. As yet, there’s no further details on this new project, but we’ll keep you updated as more news becomes available.
