Arrested Development season 5 is officially a go

May 14, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Back in January, Brian Grazer revealed that Netflix was close to finalising deals with the cast of Arrested Development and that a fifth season should be moving forward soon.

Well, it now it seems that everything is in place, as Jason Bateman has taken to Twitter to announce that he has officially signed his deal, and expected to begin filming this summer:

Look very probable I'm going to put some miles on the Stair Car this summer. Just officially signed on to more ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT today.

Arrested Development originally ran for three seasons between 2004 and 2006, before being revived for a fourth season by Netflix in 2013. Along with Bateman, the series stars Portia de Rossi, Will Arnett, Michael Cera, Alia Shawkat, Jeffrey Tambor, Jessica Walter, Tony Hale and David Cross.
