Chiller Films to release remake of Dementia 13

July 30, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Chiller Films have announced that they are set to release a remake of the 1963 low-budget horror Dementia 13, which was directed by Francis Ford Coppola and produced by B-movie legend Roger Corman.

Per Coming Soon, the new Dementia 13 is directed by Richard LeMay (The Dark Rite, Naked As We Come) and features a cast that includes Julia Campanelli (Walking Away), Ana Isabelle (The Eye, Lost Cat Corona), Marianne Noscheze (Horror Time), Channing Pickett (Redheads Anonymous) and Christian Ryan (Celebrity Ghost Stories).

Coppola’s first mainstream (i.e. non-nudie) film, Dementia 13 was intended by Corman as a cheap Psycho copy, and follows a woman who tries to get her hands on her late husband’s inheritance, only to find herself tormented by his disturbed family. The remake is said to feature “a vengeful ghost, a mysterious killer and a family brimming with secrets who converge in one night of terror.”

Dementia 13 is set for release in U.S. theaters on October 6th and on VOD and Digital HD on October 10th.
