Spike Lee developing TV series Archer

August 14, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Variety is reporting that Spike Lee is set to shop around a new TV project based loosely around the life of tech entrepreneur Chad Sanders.

Entitled Archer (which presumably will change given the FX animated series), the series is described as a dark comedy and sociological thriller and will see Sanders – who also writes, directs and executive producers – staring as “a “young, black Mark Zuckerberg-like protagonist,” and the story will travel between New York, Silicon Valley, and Berlin’s famously sexual environment.

Lee is set to direct the pilot episode and will executive produce the series, which marks his latest foray into television following the upcoming Netflix adaptation of She’s Gotta Have It.
