Atari Speakerhats, the latest in wearable gaming tech

September 7, 2017 by Villordsutch

When you hear the word “Atari” you think, ‘Gaming!’.  You may even think, ‘The spark that ignited console gaming to what we see today’.   However, what you probably don’t think when you hear the word Atari is, ‘Speakerhats!’, but coming very soon to a head near you is just that.

Arriving in selected email boxes across the globe was the news that one of Atari’s next ventures was a step into wearable tech, as Atari say, “…to enhance your Atari connected lifestyle!”.   Powered by Audiowear this latest wearable, from one of the most well-known gaming developers around, has yet to be given a release date; though they have given some uses for their upcoming wearable tech.

Speakerhat uses:

  • Slim, lightweight design. Not heavy at all.
  • Turn it loud, people around can hear it. Turn it low, only you can.
  • Seamlessly take and make phone calls.
  • Perfect for mobile gaming, streaming video and more.
  • Also great for Instagram, Snapchat, Skype, etc. Hear video w/out headphones!
  • Multiplayer mode will one day let multiple hats sync up to a single stream.
  • Imagine it at an event or sports arena? It’s like an augmented reality layer over the game!

Connecting via Bluetooth to your mobile device, tablet or computer this Atari Speakerhat will accept voice-commands and also allow you to make phonecalls too, not only that you can also use this piece of tech during your multiplayer sessions also.

What do you think of Atari’s latest venture into wearable tech?  Could you see yourself putting down your Razer Headset in the near future to put on a more comfortable fitting cap?
