According to Schmoes Know, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura (Transformers: Age of Extinction) is looking at director Martin Campbell to take over the reins of G.I. Joe 3 following the departure of G.I. Joe: Retaliation helmer Jon M. Chu.
Campbell hasn’t directed a film since 2011’s Green Lantern, while his previous credits include No Escape, GoldenEye, The Legend of Zorro, Casino Royale and Edge of Darkness. It’s unknown whether Cambell has any interest in the G.I. Joe gig, or if there’s even any truth to the report in the first place…
G.I. Joe 3 is currently being written by Jonathan Lemkin (Shooter), and is expected to see Dwayne Johnson returning as Roadblock.
