A new universe awaits in stunning trailer for Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon

August 22, 2023 by Matt Rodgers

Netflix has finally dropped the first look at Zack Snyder’s decades in the making epic science-fantasy event Rebel Moon.

Orchestrated to a portentous voiceover from Sir Anthony Hopkins, the teaser features some expectedly stunning glimpses around Snyder’s galaxy, as well as a look at a few of Rebel Moon‘s huge ensemble cast that includes Sofia Boutella, Charlie Hunnam, Djimon Hounsou, Anthony Hopkins, Doona Bae, Ray Fisher, Stuart Martin, Cary Elwes, Corey Stoll, Michiel Huisman, Alfonso Herrera, Ed Skrein, Cleopatra Coleman, Fra Fee, Rhian Rees, Jena Malone, E. Duffy, Charlotte Maggi, Sky Yang, and Staz Nair.

The trailer also confirmed that Rebel Moon has been split into two parts. The first is titled Part 1: A Child of Fire, and is released on December 22nd, 2023, while Part 2: The Scargiver will follow on April 19th, 2024.

A new universe awaits below….

“When a peaceful colony on the edge of a galaxy finds itself threatened by the armies of a tyrannical ruling force, Kora (Sofia Boutella), a mysterious stranger living among the villagers, becomes their best hope for survival. Tasked with finding trained fighters who will unite with her in making an impossible stand against the Mother World, Kora assembles a small band of warriors — outsiders, insurgents, peasants and orphans of war from different worlds who share a common need for redemption and revenge. As the shadow of an entire Realm bears down on the unlikeliest of moons, a battle over the fate of a galaxy is waged, and in the process, a new army of heroes is formed.”

Rebel Moon Part 1: A Child of Fire streams on Netflix from December 22, 2023, while Part 2: The Scargiver is released April 19, 2024.
